Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Huntington, Long Island, New York origin, circa 1807-1860, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with a impressed yellow-slip design of an X with wavy border. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Shallow chips to edge. Two flakes to interior. Discolored area, which appears to be original and inherent to the clay. Diameter 9 1/4".
