Two Glazed Redware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, early to mid 19th century, a highly-ovoid jug with distinctive angled handle, footed base, and lead-and-manganese-glazed surface, incised "10" on underside, possibly New England origin; paired with a second jug of highly-ovoid form and ribbed strap handle, the surface decorated with spattered manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Smaller jug with several small handle chips. Larger jug with shallow flakes to spout, a minor chip and some light wear to handle, a 3/4" chip to surface, a few other minor glaze flakes to surface, a large painted section to the unglazed foot (probably restoration), a minor base chip, and other minor surface wear. H 6 3/4".
