Unusual Stoneware Jumbo the Elephant Inkwell, probably Ohio, circa 1880, molded in the form of P.T. Barnum's famous circus elephant, Jumbo, the curled trunk, drape on back, and relief inscription "JUMBO." on side. Original opening on top of back. Surface covered in an Albany slip glaze. A 5/8" flake to back leg and minor chip to front foot. L 3 7/8".
