Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Ohio origin, fourth quarter 19th century, narrow, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder and flared collar, decorated with freehand vertical cobalt stripes. Two small in-the-firing chips to base. An approximately 7" horizontal crack at base and a 4" curved line near base. Rim chips. H 10 1/4".
