Fine Glazed Redware Jar with Incised "1736" Date, probably Chester County, PA origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with ribbed handles and elaborate tooled banding, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze with manganese accents throughout. Underside incised with the commemorative date, 1736. Excellent form. Wear to rim. Light wear to surface at midsection. A minor in-the-firing chip at base. H 8 3/4".
