One-Gallon Redware Jar with Manganese Spot Decoraton, Huntington, Long Island, NY, or Norwalk, CT, origin, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, flared rim, and footed base, the surface and rim decorated with manganese splotches and covered in a thick lead glaze. Wear to rim. Surface abrasions to lead glaze. H 10 1/4".
