Two Pfaltzgraff Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, York, PA origin, circa 1855-1880, a three-gallon jug with finely-brushed horizontal tulip design, stamped “PFALTZGRAFF & CO. / YORK, PA,” attributed to John B. Pfaltzgraff; paired with a two-gallon jug with double-tulip design, stamped “J.B. PFALTZGRAFF & CO.” Three-gallon jug in very nice condition with an in-the-firing contact mark / chip to side, minor spout wear, two chips to underside at edge, one glazed over. Two-gallon jug with poorly-restored handle, two spout chips, and dripped stain to side, and a very large chip to underside at edge of jug.
