Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, stamped "J.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK, PA," circa 1855-1880, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a very large brushed tulip with unusual striped stamen. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. Excellent essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing contact mark / chip to handle.
