Two Pieces of New York State Stoneware, circa 1875, a four-Gallon crock with cobalt bird decoration, stamped "WEST TROY, / N.Y. / POTTERY"; with an unmarked four-gallon crock with chicken decoration. West Troy crock with pproximately 9 1/2" crack on reverse, restoration to right side on reverse of crock, additional restoration to right side of crock's front, not visible on interior, and a 1 3/4" Y-shaped line to shoulder on front. Chicken crock with restoration to base, and restoration to base and midsection on reverse and left side of crock, light scaling to surface, primarily on reverse, a few chips on interior of rim, and very minor handle wear.
