Fine Glazed Redware Bowl, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO," PA origin, third quarter 19th century, with rounded sides and semi-rounded rim molding, the entire surface covered in a heavy lead glaze. Interior shoulder decorated with manganese highlights, the entire exterior surface further decorated with manganese streaks. Impressed "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO" below rim. Thin, approximately 2" crack from rim. In-the-firing tripod marks to base area of bowl. Some minor wear to interior base. H 3" ; D 7 1/2".
