Two Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware, circa 1870, a two-gallon jar with bird decoration, stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS"; paired with a two-gallon jar with pierced handles, decorated with a fan-tailed bird design, stamped "WHITES UTICA". Norton jar with a restored horizontal crack to shoulder, extending through ends of left handle, including an unrestored Y-shaped line to shoulder on reverse and a faint line in same handle. Norton jar also has some additional restoration to rim, a horizontal crack at base, and a faint Y-shaped line on underside. Whites Utica jar with some fry to cobalt, a small stone ping to base, and some short, faint lines to underside.
