Two Pieces of New York State Stoneware, second half 19th century, a two-gallon crock with cobalt bird decoration, attributed to Samuel Hart, Fulton, NY; paired with an unmarked, two-gallon crock with crested bird on stylized branch, New York State origin. Fulton crock with some fry to cobalt and restoration to thin crack from rim, which extends through bird decoration. The restoration stops above the bird, so the thin crack is visible extending through the bird. Additional restoration on reverse. Unsigned bird crock with glazed-over loss to right handle, two chips to left handle, some fry to cobalt, two rim chips, and a small iron ping to rim.
