One-and-a-Half-Gallon "E.J. MILLER / ALEXANDRIA, VA" Stoneware Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with the stenciled cobalt advertising "E.J. MILLER & SON / DEALERS IN / CHINA AND / GLASS WARE. / ALEXANDRIA, VA.". Freehand stripe decoration at shoulder, and freehand "1 1/2" with flourishes at the base. Some heavy salting to surface. Some light surface wear. A chip on interior of rim.
