Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Rundlet, American, second or early third quarter 19th century, small-size, barrel-form keg with incised banding and pouring hole at center, the hole embellished with a folky cobalt flower blossom or sunburst design with dotted rays. Remainder of body decorated with stylized fan-shaped leaf or tree designs. Desirable form with unusual decoration. Excellent condition with some minor nicks to top and bottom edge, some of which appear to be in-the-firing. An additional shallow 1/2" in-the-firing chip to one end and a short, faint line in one end. H 7 7/8".
