Two Pieces of New York State Stoneware, third quarter 19th century, six-gallon cylindrical crock with large brushed and slip-trailed floral decoration, stamped "PENN YAN"; paired with a six-gallon ovoid jar with cobalt foliate decoration, stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS". Penn Yan crock with significant restored crack around circumference near base, some fry to heavier areas of cobalt, a stone ping and iron ping to front, and a minor rim nick. Harrington jar with 5 1/4" hairline from rim on reverse, an X-shaped surface line to shoulder on front, a 2 1/2" surface line under one handle, an iron ping on reverse, and rim chips, primarily on interior.
