Scarce Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Decoration of a Paddletail Bird with Turned Head, Stamped "WHITE & WOOD / BINGHAMTON, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird with paddle-shaped tail, perched on a flowering vine. Fry and/or wear to raised areas of cobalt. Spout chips. Minor base nicks.
