Rare Sewertile Figure of an Elephant, Midwestern origin, late 19th or early 20th century, hand-modeled figure of an elephant with lop ears, impressed circular eyes, and indented detail to toes. Adamson, Illustrated Handbook of Ohio Sewer Pipe Folk Art, 1973. In-the-firing loss to trunk and tail. A small chip to one ear and very minor chip to one foot. L 8 3/4" ; H 4 1/8".
