Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered canning jar with rounded shoulder and wax sealer rim, decorated with a large freehand tulip across the midsection. Shoulder and base with brushed freehand stripe. Some fry to cobalt. Two chips on interior of rim. Stone ping to edge of inner wax sealer rim. Shallow 5/8" chip to exterior of rim on reverse. H 8 1/2".
