One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "S.H. SONNER / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1870, tapered, pail-shaped crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated with brushed cobalt dashes on the front and back, as well as under each handle. Loss to one handle. Large chip to opposite handle. A few rim chips and minor rim nicks.
