Four Pieces of Utilitarian Pottery, American, 19th century, a lead-glazed redware flask with manganese-daubed shoulder, New York State or New England origin, second quarter 19th century; a miniature redware jar with incised crosshatched decoration and incised inscriptions "July 15 1870" and initials "J.G.B.," "S.A.L," "J.W.C," and "C.W.G."; unglazed redware flowerpot with attached saucer and crimped rim; and ovoid redware jar with glazed interior. Flask with wear to spout, an in-the-making dent to shoulder, and some tiny base chips. Flowerpot in excellent condition. Dated jar with two in-the-firing nicks to surface and a few nicks to base, possibly in-the-making. Larger jar with 4" hairline from rim, base chips, and strip of glaze loss to interior. H (of flask) 7 3/4".
