Glazed Redware Handled Jar with Lid, probably New England origin, first half 19th century, cylindrical jar with flared rim and applied strap handle, the exterior surface covered in a blackish lead-and-manganese glaze. Includes a black-glazed redware lid with tooled banding. Jar with chipping to base, wear to rim, light wear to handle, and a 3 1/2" hairline from rim. H (including lid) 6 1/8".
