Early Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, New Jersey origin, circa 1820, three-gallon stoneware jug with tooled foot, incised shoulder, and heavily-ribbed neck, the front decorated with a large hanging floral design with heavily-veined leaves. Heavy chipping to base. Spidering hairlines to shoulder on side of jug. Spidering crack at base, becoming a thinner crack on underside.
