Rare Rustic Stoneware Pitcher with Relief Stag and Dog, American, possibly Ohio, circa 1880, molded tankard pitcher with applied handle, the front decorated with a running stag and hound, flanked by large flowering plants on each side. Surface covered in a Bristol slip glaze highlighted with brushed cobalt highlights. 3/4" hairline from rim on reverse and some minor nicks and wear to rim. H 9".
