One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "E.J. MILLER & SON. / ALEXANDRIA, VA," Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with freehand stripes and the stenciled cobalt advertising "E.J. MILLER & SON. / DEALERS IN / CHINA AND / GLASS WARE. / ALEXANDRIA. VA". Essentially as-made condition with some fry to cobalt.
