Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, probably Midwestern origin, third quarter 19th century, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed cobalt floral design below the number "3". Two base chips. Sticky residue to surface. In-the-making scratch to reverse.
