Fine Anna Pottery Stoneware Snake Jug, Incised "Little Brown Jug / by / Anna Pottery / 1880," Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, rotund jug with rounded foot, the handle in the form of a hand-modeled snake with scaled body, circular eyes, and large mouth. Surface covered in a mottled Albany slip glaze. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example consigned from Florida. Near mint condition with a minor base chip. H 4 1/4".
