Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt "Fishing Lure" Decoration, Midwestern origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stylized cobalt design resembling a fishing lure, surrounded by dots and flourishes. Cobalt script "2" below rim. Excellent, as-made condition with a minor separation line at base. H 9 1/4".
