Five-Gallon Providence, RI Stoneware Advertising Jug, circa 1860, cylindrical jug with wide, tooled spout, the front decorated with a two-stemmed daisy plant accented with dashes and spots. Impressed on shoulder "J GIBSON / 24 SOUTH MAIN ST / PROVIDENCE RI". Contact mark and salt drip at base. Base chips. Rim chips. Two faint, short lines in spout. Some faint lines in shoulder. H 19 1/4".
