Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "WHITES UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt flowering plant design. Two filled rim chips. Flaking to front and base. 3 1/4" hairline from rim on front. 5 1/2" hairline from rim on reverse. Faint 3 3/4" X-shaped line on front. Some light fry to cobalt. H 9 3/4".
