Fine Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, attributed to Brown Pottery, Arden, NC, circa 1930, ovoid jug with tall spout and applied handle, decorated with an applied clay face including large eyes and unusually-shaped "whistling" mouth with single tooth. Surface covered in a dark Albany slip glaze. Excellent condition. Light wear to ear and handle. Two chips to mouth. H 8 3/8".
