Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "RAGER LLOYD & CO / PALATINE. W. VA.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with decorated with a crisply-stenciled rose, freehand stripes, and a bold stenciled "2". Provenance: From a Western MD collection. Small base chip on reverse. Small contact mark to left of rose. Faint 2" surface line on front, which does not extend through to interior. H 12".
