Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "E.J. MILLER / ALEXA," attributed to the Wilkes Street Pottery, Alexandria, VA origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, impressed with E.J. Miller merchant mark below rim. Excellent, as-made condition with a bloated spot near base, two small in-the-firing base chips, and a minor in-the-firing rim chip. H 6 3/4".
