Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "KNOX HAUGHT & CO / SHINNSTON . W . VA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, elaborately-decorated with freehand stripes and vining, a stylized stenciled foliate design, and several freehand dashes flanking the number "3" at base. 5" hairline from rim. Small handle chip. Some staining to surface. H 14 1/2".
