Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, WV origin, circa 1875, cylindrical churn with tooled shoulder, flaring rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt flowering vine design. Additional leafy brushwork flanking an impressed "5" at shoulder. 4 1/2" crack from rim on front. Chip to one handle. A few small chips on interior and expected small chips to inner ledge where a lid would rest. H 17 1/2".
