Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Decoration of the Date "1869" within a Wreath, Northeastern U.S. origin, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a dotted wreath surrounding the date "18/69" above a flower blossom. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Spidering surface lines. 2" x 1/8" strip of wear on reverse. 5" in-the-firing line on interior, not visible on exterior. Rim chips, the largest measuring 1 1/2". H 12".
