Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Seltzer Water Jug, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON, / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and tall spout, decorated with the slip-trailed cobalt advertising "N.K & Co. / Oneita Seltzer / Water / Utica N.Y." A good example of advertising stoneware. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Excellent condition with a contact mark near base and a minor spout chip. H 14 3/4".
