Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Cuspidor, Strasburg, VA origin, late 19th century, ovoid form with tooled band and tall, dramatically-flaring collar, the surface decorated with splashed copper and manganese glazes over cream-colored slip. Surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent color. Excellent condition with some unobtrusive rim chips. H 6 1/4" ; Diameter (at opening) 7 1/2".
