Stoneware Batter Pail with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Whites Utica, NY State origin, circa 1870, ovoid form with pouring spout and wood-and-metal bail handle, decorated with a cobalt flowering plant design below the spout. Reverse slip-trailed "6" to denote six quarts. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Wear to cobalt. Otherwise excellent condition. H 10".
