Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG, VA" circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on both sides with a leafy vine bearing three tulip blossoms. Faint, in-the-firing surface lines near base, which do not extend through to interior. Several rim chips. Chip to one handle and minor 1/2" line in opposite handle. A few base chips. H 13 1/4".
