Tanware Planter with Elaborate Tulip Decoration, New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid form with tooled shoulder and flaring rim, lavishly decorated in Albany slip around the pot's circumference with six boldly-brushed tulips interspersed with smaller blossoms. Shoulder decorated with Albany slip dashes. Four rim chips. Hole in underside with chipping around, possibly added at later date. H 6 1/8" ; D (at rim) 7 3/4".
