One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt foliate design. Minor nicks on exterior of rim. Wear on interior of rim. 1" in-the-firing line on interior of rim, which does not extend through to exterior. Y-shaped line on underside, continuing onto base. Light staining to surface. Small handle chip. H 7 1/2".
