Unusual Stripe-Decorated Stoneware Wax Sealer, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with heavily-tooled rim and "wax sealer" interior, cobalt-decorated with five alternating straight and wavy stripes. Somewhat larger than most Western PA wax sealers. Three hairlines from rim on reverse, measuring 2 1/4" and 2", and 3/4". Small 3/8" rim chip on reverse. H 9".
