Three-Gallon Iron-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "BOSTON," Massachusetts origin, circa 1805, ovoid jar with tooled foot and shoulder and open loop handles, decorated around the shoulder and base with reddish-brown iron slip. 2" shallow flake off underside, which extends to bottom edge. Chipping to base. 1 1/2" hairline on underside extending 1 1/2" up base. 1 1/2" contact mark on reverse. 3 3/4" x 1" restored section to surface of collar on front. Small stone ping to one handle. H 14 1/2".
