Yellowware Clamshell Mold, second half 19th century, oval mold in the form of a clamshell. The rear of the mold includes an applied clay tab with hole, allowing the mold to be hung. 3 1/2" crack from rim. Two small rim chips. Faint 1/4" separation line at rim, which occurred in the firing and does not extend through to exterior. Length 8 1/4".
