One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, attributed to David Parr, Jr., Richmond, VA, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated around the body with three groups of large cobalt swags. 1" x 1" rim chip, along with other smaller rim chips. L-shaped crack in shoulder, extending from rim. Horizontal 5" hairline at base, with a thin line extending from it onto underside, and measuring 1 1/2" on underside. H 9 3/4".
