Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Fantail Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt bird with fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized branch. Spots of fry to cobalt. Light flaking to base, sides, and reverse. Small rim chip. H 10".
