One-Gallon Bristol Slip Glazed Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Thomas Haig, Jr., Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, with ovoid body and short, flaring collar, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag design on the front and three groups of swags below the rim. Shallow base chips, some or all of which occurred in the firing. 1 1/4" hairline to right of spout. Four nicks on interior of rim. 3/4" U-shaped hairline at rim. H 10 1/4".
