Rare Stoneware Flowerpot with Albany Slip Bird Decoration, New York State origin, circa 1875, tapered pot with tooled shoulder and attached saucer, decorated on two sides with a slip-trailed Albany slip design of two birds perched on a central stylized floral design. Rare decoration. Large, approximately 4" x 7" reglued and colored wedge out of rim. Two 5" colored cracks from rim with possibly filled and colored chips along these cracks and at rim. H 7 1/2".
