Glazed Redware Dog Bank, attributed to George Wagner, Carbon Co., PA, circa 1860, molded bank in the form of a seated spaniel with impressed and incised details to face, paws, and locket, its tail produced from applied clay with "coleslaw" tip. Surface covered in an attractive creamy yellow glaze with green copper streaks. Coin slot in underside. Excellent color. Fleck of glaze loss above one eye. A few minor base chips. H 6 1/2".
