One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va," circa 1875, unusually-shaped cylindrical jar with tall collar and flattened rim, decorated with three groups of brushed cobalt swags and hanging flowers around the shoulder. 3" crack on underside, forming a Y at base. Two base chips. Rim chip. Wear to interior of rim. H 11".
